    1663 copper 1/2 duit from the Dutch Republic, province of West Friesland. Small change coin from the 17th century. Obverse shows the crowned arms of West Friesland with surrounding legend (partly off-flan/weak from wear). Reverse has the legend in three lines “WEST / FRISIAE / 1663” within a wreath. Condition is around Good–Very Good details for this early copper: legends mostly readable and design identifiable, with heavy porosity and surface corrosion from long-term circulation/storage. Some green spots and roughness present – please see the close-up photos for an accurate view. Sold strictly as seen. Historic 17th-century provincial Dutch copper, ideal as an affordable example of early Dutch coinage. Coin in the photos is the exact one you will receive.
